Anne Michele Safley, M.D. is an internal medicine and hospital medicine provider at Rocky Mountain Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests include general internal medicine, acute care and preventative medicine as well as well women’s care. Dr. Safley also has interests in the management of complex medical conditions and the care of patients undergoing treatment for cancer.

Dr. Safley is originally from Minnesota. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her busy family, including two young children and a dog, Sylvia. She is active in her neighborhood community and her local school. Her hobbies include hiking, skiing and enjoying the beautiful Colorado outdoors.

Management of preventative medicine, with an emphasis on healthy nutrition, sleep and exercise, cancer screenings, including breast cancer and cervical cancer screenings, women’s health, including illness and disorders, care of geriatric patients, including cognitive and functional screenings, diagnosis and treatment of chronic medical conditions, including diabetes and heart disease.
Special Training
Upon receiving her degree from Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Safley performed residency training at Mayo Clinic and University of Iowa Hospitals. She also completed a fellowship in hospital medicine at University of Colorado Hospitals, where she also served as a clinical instructor.
Human Interest
Dr. Safley believes in caring physician-patient relationships with close attention to individual patient needs. Her goal is to partner with patients to achieve individual health goals.
