Karina is a Colorado native who recently moved to Denver from Colorado Springs. She is attentive, compassionate, comforting, and enjoys hiking, yoga, cooking, and trying foods from around the world. She graduated from Des Moines University and completed special training in neuro-oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. She attends the Kaiser Permanente Diversity Health Services conferences where she enjoys working with patients from many different backgrounds. Professionally, Karina strives to stay up-to-date on current topics in health care in order to use the evidence-based medicine to best care for her patients. It is her goal to involve patients in their own healthcare, including education about diagnoses and medications, in hopes that this will lead to happier and healthier patients. Procedures she performs include, but are not limited to, joint injections, pap smears, incisions and drainage, skin biopsy, cryotherapy, and many others.
